Binding:

Modern half blue goatskin with sides covered in gray paper over paper boards (28.1 x 20.3 cm) by Sherman (stamp on front pastedown). Plain paper pastedowns and fly leaves.

Inscriptions/Markings:

Hand decoration: Rubricated, paragraph marks and underlining, some woodcut initials with red highlighting.

H. Wright, signature and shelf mark: C/G 6, nineteenth-century(?) (leaf [1]/1r) (perhaps the sale at Sotheby's 24 July 1875?); Pierpont Morgan (1837-1913), purchased from Giuseppe Martini, 1908.
