Hand decoration: Illuminated (Roman?) white vine initial (leaf [1]/2r), with remainder of initials at each Life gold on red/blue/green ground and an illuminated armorial (leaf [1]/2r) in a northern Italian (Verona?) style. Annotations: Rubrics written in margin in a contemporary Italian hand. Moderate marginal notations throughout text in a contemporary Italian hand (different than rubrics).

Unidentified Italian armorial: two gold chalices on either side of a red bend sinister on a blue shield (leaf [1]/2r); Libraire Damascene Morgand, Paris, inscription with price abraded (Hoskier's purchase?); H.C.
