Binding
Contemporary Czech blind-tooled calf over wooden boards, bound at Olomouc by the so-called Herzogenburg bindery (EBDB w000125/Kryiss 13, active 1475-98; assigned by Kyriss to the Augustinians at Herzogenburg, reattributed to Olomouc by Mayo). Plain paper pastedowns and endleaves; decorative endbands; yellow edges. 2 clasps, missing (catches attached to rear board).
Inscriptions/Markings
Hand decoration: Contemporary (probably Olomouc?) rubrication and illumination, alternating red and blue initials; primary initials illuminated with floral and foliate decoration. Annotations: Minimal contemporary marginal notations in text, mainly indicating textual divisions or keywords. Contemporary manuscript title, "Strabo" (leaf [1]/1r) and alpha-numeric quire signatures, mainly trimmed.
