19th-century full red goatskin with gilt-tooled turn-ins over paper boards (29 x 21cm) by Thibaron-Joly. Marbled paper pastedowns and fly leaves; decorative endbands; gilt edges.
Inscriptions/Markings
Hand decoration: Rubrication (incipit initials) unrealized. Woodcuts are partially hand-colored in pale washes of blue, green, and brown.
