Contemporary German/central European blind-stamped (stamps heavily worn) sheepskin over wooden boards (21.5 x 15.5 cm), sewn on 3 supports; repaired. Plain (renewed) paper pastedowns and endleaves; decorative endbands. 2 clasps.

Hand decoration: Contemporary rubrication, red initials, capital strokes, and underlining. Annotations: Rubricator's section/textual notations and Arabic foliation, which is added to tabula (tabula not foliated). German inscriptions, including unidentified provenance: "Das ist mein vett (bett?) puech," 15th century (leaf [8]/8v).
