Contemporary German blind-stamped sheepskin over wooden boards (49 x 34 cm), sewn on 6 supports, probably in Trier, with tools similar to those assigned to the Tiere in Kreis* workshop (EBDB w000288). Vellum pastedowns; decorative endbands. Clasps and metal edge pieces, 1 clasp missing; chain hasp on bottom edge of rear board.
Inscriptions/Markings
Hand decoration: Contemporary rubrication, red initials, headlines, capital strokes, and underlining. Annotations: No marginal notations in text.
