18th-century(?) English gilt-tooled red morocco over paper boards (34 x 24 cm), sewn on 4 supports. Marbled paper pastedowns and fly leaves with plain paper fly leaves; plain endbands.
Inscriptions/Markings: 

Hand decoration: Illuminated initial (Ferrara/Venice style) with marginal foliate border (leaf [1]/3r); rubricated, alternating red and blue lombards with filigree penwork. Annotations: Marginal and interlinear notations in two contemporary hands.
