16th-century French gilt-tooled (fanfare binding) dark brown calf over thin wooden boards (16 x 11 cm), sewn on 4 bands by Clovis Eve(?); repaired by Duprez Lahey, 1926. Plain paper pastedowns and endleaves; plain endbands; gilt edges.
Inscriptions/Markings: 

Hand decoration: Contemporary French gilt initials on alternating red and blue ground and gilt capital strokes. Annotations: No marginal notations in text. Arabic numeration added to days in calendar, 16th/17th century. Genitalia of Astrological Man abraded (leaf a2r).
