Notes
Entered by Goff and IGI under Johannes Evangelista, and attributed in the book itself to Nicolaus de Lyra, the work is an Italian commentary on the Apocalypse, with lemmata in Latin, by Federigo da Venezia (Veneziano, de Renoldo). See A. Luttrell, in Journal of the Walters Art Gallery 27-28 (1964-65) pp. 57-65.
Proctor assigned to an unidentified printer at Naples, BMC, followed by IGI VI, to Rome. Sixtus Riessinger and Ulrich Han have both been suggested as printers. The type-page has the same dimensions as Han's 1468 Cicero. For variants see Hain, Polain(B) and Sheppard.
