19th-century blind-tooled black morocco with the gilt armorial of Sykes over paper boards (30 x 21 cm), stab sewn on 5 supports by L. Staggemeier, with his ticket. A rare example of Staggemeier's ticket in his name only (cf. Ramsden, p. 135). Plain paper pastedowns and fly leaves; decorative endbands.
Inscriptions/Markings
Hand decoration: Rubricated, blue initial (leaf [1]/2r) but remainder unrealized. Annotations: No marginal notations in text.
