Contemporary red-stained blind-stamped leather (sheepskin?) over wooden boards (33 x 22 cm.), sewn on 3 supports by Johann Schüssler in Augsburg (EBDB w001512/Kyriss 90, a.k.a. Wundervogel or Fuchsvogel-Meister I). Contemporary plain paper pastedowns and fly leaves. 1 clasp, wanting. Ink title inscription on top board, faded.

Inscriptions/Markings
Hand decoration: Rubricated, red initials (simple calligraphic style) and underlining; primary lombards in red/green with filigree penwork decoration from Schüssler's shop. Annotations: Minimal marginal notations. Contemporary alpha-numeric manuscript quire signatures at bottom gutter edge of rectos (from Schüssler's shop?). 16th-century ink foliation, with mistakes, starting at leaf [1]/3r and list of folio incipits for books (rear pastedown). Title inscription, crossed out, 16th/17th century (leaf [1]/2r).
