19th-century blind-tooled full brown goatskin over wooden boards (28.7 x 21.3 cm), sewn on 5 supports by Francis Bedford. Plain parchment pastedowns, parchment and paper fly leaves; decorative endbands; all edges gilt.

Hand decoration: Rubricated, red lombards, paragraph marks, capital strokes, L-brackets, and ruling lines. Annotations: Manuscript catchwords and signatures (mainly trimmed) in top right corner of first recto. Minimal marginal notations throughout text.
