16th-century blind-stamped pigskin over wooden boards (32 x 22 cm.), sewn on 4 supports by H.I.S. of South Germany (Augsburg?). Central panel depicting Adoration, "Puer natus est...," signed ".H.I.S." with Baptism panel on rear board (see Haebler, Rollen- und Plattenstempel, I, 206, nos. III and IV). Plain paper pastedowns and fly leaves; plain endbands; green edges. 2 clasps, 1 missing.
