19th-century English black morocco, blind-tooled in a retrospecitve style, over heavy paper boards (42.5 x 30 cm), sewn on 5 supports by Hayday, with the gilt armorial of Seillière. Marbled paper pastedowns and endleaves, with plain vellum endleaves; decorative endbands; gilt edges.

Hand decoration: Contemporary Mainz red/blue foliate initial with papal portrait in center (portrait perhaps modern addition?, leaf [1]/1r), rubricated with alternating red and blue initials and paragraph marks. Red/blue initials and paragraph marks identical to Vatican copy (Membr.S.22) and PML's 1468 Institutiones (PML 21138/ChL 13). Annotations: No marginal notations in text. Contermporary arabic quire numbers at bottom center of first leaf, mostly trimmed. Fore edge tabs.
