Contemporary German blind-stamped pigskin over wooden boards (30.5 x 22 cm.), sewn on 3 supports by Johann Schüssler in Augsburg (EBDB w001512/Kyriss 90, a.k.a. Wundervogel or Fuchsvogel-Meister I) active ca. 1484-94. Vellum manuscript leaves (lectionary, 14th/15th century) as pastedowns, with contemporary plain paper fly leaves; decorative endbands; edges colored yellow. 1 clasp and rear board chain attachement, wanting. Top board paper title label and shelf mark, abraded.
Inscriptions/Markings
Hand decoration: Rubrication unrealized. Annotations: Minimal marginal notations and NB marks, mainly near beginning.
