Based upon "La bible historiée" (GW 4310), a French adaptation of the Historia Scholastica of Petrus Comestor by Guiard des Moulins, amplified and modified during the 14th and 15th centuries (Darlow & Moule).

18th-century French gilt-tooled full red morocco over paper boards (29.5 x 21 cm), sewn on 5 supports. Plain blue paper pastedowns and endleaves, with plain paper endleaves; decorative endbands; gilt edges.
