20th-century German full pigskin over heavy boards (39 x 29 cm), sewn on 4 supports, by Gerhard Gerlach. Plain paper pastedowns and endleaves; plain, stuck-on endbands.
Inscriptions/Markings: 

Hand decoration: Contemporary rubrication, red initials, paragraph marks and capital strokes; headlines in red or black throughout. Annotations: Significant contemporary marginal notations throughout, including reading notes and commentary. Manuscript alpha-numeric quire signatures. Reader's note at end (leaf [54]/8r): "Finit liber Apocalipsis beati Johannis apostoli. Oinis(?). 1505.", in what looks like the same hand as many of the marginal notations. 2 leaves bound at end of vol. II with a manuscript Interpretation of Hebrew Names on the first leaf.
