Later (18/19th century?) Italian vellum over stiff paper boards (38 x 25.5 cm), sewn on 4 supports. Plain paper pastedowns and endleaves (rear endleaf with unidentified papal armorial watermark, signed "Subiaco GSC"); plain endbands.

Inscriptions/Markings
Hand decoration: Rubrication predominantly unrealized, except a large cadell initial with profile face, perhaps contemporary (leaf [3]/1r), followed by a few initials added later in black ink (leaves [3]/1r-4r). Annotations: Contemporary marginal notations, in several hands, sporadically throughout text, and headline "D. Avgvs.us Lectoribvs" (leaf [3]/1r).
