Binding
20th-century half brown goatskin, with brown cloth sides, over paper boards (41 x 30 cm), sewn on 5 supports by Jas. MacDonald Co., New York. Plain brown paper pastedowns and endleaves, with plain paper endleaves and preserving endleaves from previous binding. Plain endbands; sprinkled edges.
Inscriptions/Markings
Hand decoration: Contemporary Cologne/lower Rhine rubrication, alternating red and blue initials and paragraph marks, red headlines (2 different hands), capital strokes, and underlining; primary initials in red and blue with red penwork decoration. Annotations: No marginal notations in text. Leaf R8r missing bottom margin, with early repair and missing text replaced in contemporary manuscript.
