Some copies have the device of Johannes de Legnano as publisher in place of that of Le Signerre on fol. 1a. These copies have the title 'Appicius Culinarius' and prelims containing a letter by Blasius Lancilotus to Bartholomaeus Merula and a poem of Ludovicus Vopiscus. Copies with Le Signerre's device have the title 'APICIVS IN RE QVOQVINARIA' and prelims with a letter of Antonius Motta to Johannes Mollus, and poems of Motta and Bernardinus Mollus (GW note, BMC).
