Contemporary French (Metz?) blind-tooled calf over wooden boards (22 x 16 cm), sewn on 3 supports; rebacked and repaired. Vellum manuscript (ca. 1300, dialect of Lorraine) pastedowns, with plain paper endleaves; plain endbands. 2 clasps, missing.
Inscriptions/Markings
Hand decoration: Contemporary French (Metz?) rubrication, alternating red and blue initials and paragraph marks. Annotations: No significant marginal notations; a few marginal dashes and flowers. Contemporary alpha-numeric quire signatures.
