Binding: 
19th-century blind- and gilt-tooled black goatskin in a pastiche of an early style with gilt-tooled turn-ins over wooden boards (28.7 x 20.2 cm) by Lortic, with his ticket. Marbled paper pastedowns and flyleaves; plain endbands; gilt edges.
Inscriptions/Markings: 

Hand decoration: No rubrication required; red frame ruling added to each leaf. A few woodcuts with minor wash coloring.
