Collation: title, calendar, etc., 16 leaves (++8, +++8), text = 393 numbered leaves + 1 blank; full-page woodcut with border on verso of +++8, small cut and fine border on leaf 225r.
Printed in red and black with small woodcut initials, the last few leaves with musical notation.

Binding: 
16th-century Italian (Rome) red morocco, gold tooled with foliate and 3-dot ornaments, with the arms of Pope Pius V and "Pivs. V. P. M.", attributed to the Arabesque Binder. Gilt, gauffered, and painted edges. 4 clasps, missing, top and bottom edges repaired (unusually with clasp attachment at top board rather than bottom, as typical for Italian bindings).

Pope Pius V, armorial binding; James Toovey (1814-1893), through inheritance to his son: Charles J. Toovey (1848-1925), entire library purchased in 1899 by: Pierpont Morgan (1837-1913), purchased with the Toovey collection, 1899.
