Full black morocco by Thomas Dawson the Elder of Cambridge, tooled in gilt to a panel design with a central lozenge formed of floral volutes and wild-strawberry tools, marbled flyleaves, all edges gilt.

Bookstamp of the Bibliotheca Heberiana with Heber's note on the price, 17/6, on the front flyleaf. Inscribed by Baron Vernon (?), "This copy formerly belonged to Queen Caroline, wife of George II." Sold with the Holford library at Sotheby's in 1928 to G.
