Red morocco, gilt with quadruple roll-tooled border, the central panel filled with strapwork to a fanfare design; large flowers in irregularly shaped compartments, Gozadini's arms in center; gilt and sparingly gauffered edges with remains of leather ties;

Binding dated from arms of Marco Antonio Gozadini (ca. 1575-1623) on upper and lower covers (created cardinal in 1621; d. 1623).
