Bound for Bernardino Fernandez de Velasco y Pimentel, Duque de Frias, conde de Haro y de Penarando (1707-1771) in contemporary Spanish crimson morocco, shaped center and corner-pieces inlaid in light-blue morocco, densely tooled with floral, leafy and arabesque tools, dots and stars; in center, within circles, the owner's name lettered in gilt: "Ex. MO. S. D. BERN. NO FRZ. DE BELASCO", and on rear cover: "CDE DE PEN.DA DUQUE DE FRIAS"; six compartments on spine with light-blue lettering piece in the second, the others richly gilt; gilt and gauffered edges; five silk book markers; two shaped ajoure brass clasps and catches.
