Collection of 13 small plates mounted, engraved and hand coloured, cut from a single leaf (signature pp. of 224 full leaves) of the "Gallerie des modes", etc., published at Paris by Esnauts & Rapilly, 1781 et seq. These plates are duplicates of those in Morgan collection, see vol. III. These plates and 3 others are to be found on 1 leaf in "Recueil de Planches sur le Costume France."
Binding:
White silk with gold thread embroidery and spangles and white stones. On the inside of upper cover is a mirrour, now broken. In tan linen case by Miss Lahey, lettered Galerie des modes. Coiffures, 1785.
