16th-century French (Paris?) calf, with gold-panel of decorative strapwork stamped and painted, the name "Katherine Brovn" in gold in the central compartment of the front and back covers. The same strapwork panel is found on British Library, Davis 500 and Lyon, Bibliothèque municipale, Rés 357302 and several other bindings identified as produced in Paris, about 1550.
Katherine Broun (Brown?, presumably an English owner since the text is for Sarum use), decorated binding and painted name on title page, 16th century; Librairie Damascène Morgand, no. 31181; Pierpont Morgan, purchased with the "Rahir Fifty," 1907.
