The Morgan Library & Museum announced today the exterior restoration of J. Pierpont Morgan’s Library, designed by McKim, Mead & White.

Giovanni Francesco Barbieri, known as Guercino (1591–1666), was arguably the most interesting and diverse draftsman of the Italian Baroque era, a natural virtuoso who created brilliant drawings in a broad range of media.

On September 18, William M. Griswold, Director of The Morgan Library & Museum, received a major award from the French government in recognition of his important contributions to cultural exchange between France and the United States.
