Building on the Morgan’s tradition of presenting to the American public distinguished works from outstanding institutions abroad, Van Eyck to Mondrian: 300 Years of Collecting in Dresden focuses on the exceptional drawing collection of the Kupferstich-Kabinett, Dresden.

“I kind of draw like you are walking through the forest,” Condo explains. “You don’t really know where you are going.

“[The film] has to be basically truthful according to human nature. It has to be real. And that comes from your understanding of people and your lifetime experience... You learn from that. But basically, it has to be truthful. And where are you if it’s not?”

The Morgan is home to one of the world’s largest and most important collections of drawings by Giambattista Tiepolo (1696–1770) and his eldest son Domenico (1727–1804), with more than 300 representative examples of their lively invention and masterful techniques.

Robinson McClellan, Assistant Curator of Music Manuscripts and Printed Music provides an introduction to Mahler's Fifth Symphony. Mahler wrote this seminal symphony in 1901 and 1902.
