Its historical, theological, and narrative significance, as well as its physical production, have encompassed diverse regions and cultures. Similarly, the tales of J. Pierpont Morgan’s endeavors in amassing magnificent Bibles and biblically-inspired artwork span various geographical areas. In this lecture, Jesse R. Erickson, Astor Curator of Printed Books and Bindings, will delve into intriguing stories that showcase the diverse range of representation found throughout the exhibition’s different scenes.
