Join Rachel Federman, Associate Curator of Modern and Contemporary Drawings, and Austėja Mackelaitė, Annette and Oscar de la Renta Assistant Curator, for a virtual tour of the exhibition Conversations in Drawing: Seven Centuries of Art from the Gray Collection, celebrating the remarkable collection of drawings assembled by Richard Gray, one of America’s foremost art dealers, and art historian Mary L. Gray over fifty years. The collection traces the long and distinguished history of the medium of drawing through works by artists such as Rubens, Boucher, Degas, Seurat, Matisse, Picasso, and Hockney, among others. The exhibition illuminates the many unexpected visual affinities and connections among drawings originating in distinct periods and places.
