The Department of Drawings and Prints seeks an assistant to help maintain the extensive curatorial files that pertain to the Morgan’s collection of more than 10,000 drawings and prints made before 1900.
The volunteer program works to match the Morgan's needs with the skills of qualified candidates. Volunteer opportunities are available in many departments. The Department of Medieval and Renaissance Manuscripts seeks a highly skilled individual with an academic background in medieval art history to fact-check records in the Morgan’s online catalog, CORSAIR.
The volunteer will assist in an inventory of the Morgan’s printed books holdings.
The volunteer will participate in desk duties including monitoring readers and instructing them in the proper handling of rare materials.
Provide support to the TMS Administrator in the clean-up and maintenance of exhibition records in the collection management system, The Museum System (TMS).
