Written on a note card embossed "23 Denning Road, / Hampstead, N.W."
Thanking him for the information he requested on the late Clifton Ward; adding "Yes, it was the profession of the Father I meant - But you have supplied the lacuna - indeed I inferred it from the 'place of education' and it was my impression that Mr. Ward Sr. had been a schoolmaster - I am greatly obliged to you."
