Saying to Angélique Saliceti that she was afraid she would not be able to write to her dear Angélique before the New Year, as it had been their custom, since she was busy with a drawing and an embroidery, also that she has heard that Angélique had been enjoying herself at a ball; reporting that the house in Vaugirard is becoming sadder and duller every day and that they are playing cards (au reversi) every night; informing her that her lawsuit (procès) will being again early January and that she desires and fears the end of this affair; mentioning a M. Delacroix whose daughter's portrait she wants to finish before the first of January and that she is sorry to see M. Hétandart depart who no longer will give them lessons; referring to drawings by a M. Leroy which have been engraved.
