Concerning the offer of the appointment to Wellesley; encouraging him to accept and informing him that he will have his full support; adding "I regret as much as you the loss of Canning, but when all the Particulars which have led to his Resignation are made known to you, I am satisfied that you will be of opinion that neither the King nor his Colleagues could give way to his Petitions, under the Circumstances which induced him to advance them;" discussing issues he will likely face on his return regarding Canning and the Opposition; reiterating his support for him.
