Mentioning James Boswell; noting that he saw his brother F[rederick] in town and alluding to the "ill success of his application to the admiralty"; reporting that he saw Shakespeare's Macbeth acted; telling him that he just returned "from seeing the illuminations in honor of the Prince and Princess of Wales" [George IV and Princess Caroline]; adding that "Mr. Boswell is extremely eager to have [him] leave town."
