The Morgan Library & Museum announces its January–May 2024 season of Music at the Morgan that celebrates the intersection of art, literature, and music with engaging concerts inspired by its collections and exhibition. Early music concerts feature Les Arts Florissants performing Monteverdi and Carissimi; the Boston Early Music Festival series that includes the first-time appearance of Opera Prima and the BEMF Vocal & Chamber Ensembles presenting A Garden of Earthly Delights at the Papal Court. ARTEK performs works of Josquin Desprez inspired by the exhibition Medieval Money, Merchants, and Morality.

Acclaimed countertenor Anthony Roth Costanzo offers a multidisciplinary evening centered on the theme of myths drawn from the Morgan’s music manuscripts; and vocal music recitals feature baritone Blake Denson with pianist Kevin Miller; plus the George and Nora London Foundation Competition Final Round of talented singers. An end-of-season highlight is the long awaited New York premiere of Charles Martin Loeffler’s Octet, unheard since 1897, with a group of stellar musicians.
