The Morgan Library & Museum announces its 2019–2020 season of Music at the Morgan, celebrating the intersection between art, literature, and music with engaging concerts inspired by its collections and exhibitions and performed by leading artists of today. Highlights include early music concerts featuring renowned countertenor Philippe Jaroussky and soprano Amanda Forsythe with the Boston Early Music Festival Chamber Ensemble; the return of the spectacular harpsichordist Jean Rondeau with Nevermind; and performances of Beethoven’s works to mark the 250th anniversary of the composer’s birth, by artists including acclaimed pianist Rafał Blechacz and violinist Bomsori Kim, pianist Daniel Lebhardt and violinist Benjamin Baker, and the St. Luke’s Chamber Ensemble. As part of the Beethoven celebration, the Morgan will also present music manuscripts from its collection. Tickets will go on sale August 9, 2019.
