Helena, Empress: Scene, finding True Cross -- Within decorated initial D, Helena, crowned, decorated nimbus, seated on draped bench, holds scepter in left hand and holds up right hand, index finger raised. Before her, male figure digs with spade, striking cross partially visible in ground.
Male figure, partially nude, wearing only cloak and hood, holds curve of initial D, forming ascender. He stands on head of dragon, forming marginal extender.
