Composition game comprises two identical hand-colored lithographic backdrop plates with several slits depicting two tables; 52 hand-colored cut-out pieces of fruit, musical instruments, dead game, &c. have tabs that fit into slits in the backdrop plates to create still life pictures. With six sheets printed in sepia providing potential still life arrangements (13.3 x 18.1 cm)

Issued in publisher's 1/4 red cloth printed portfolio with grey paper boards, floral decorations and titles stamped in brown. The cut-out cover with a gold-rimmed window provides a frame for the finished still life. (29 x 32.8 cm)
