The game board consists of an etched sheet. Sixty-three numbered rectangular spaces are arranged in two concentric, counter-clockwise tracks that lead into octogonal center with the rules of the game. The sixty-three images are scenes pulled from various fables of Aesop. Seven portraits of Aesop are placed in spacing of nine: nos. 9, 18, 27, 36, 45, 54, and 63. The last and central image, no. 63, depicts the fable of "The will explained by Aesop", showing Aesop and the three sisters. In the corners are four larger triangular spaces with images from: L'Enfant et le pédant ; l'Enfant et les deux pigeons ; la poule aux Œufs d'Ore ; le Rat et l'huitre.
