Provenance: 
Agnes Pole, gold-tooled name on binding and illuminated armorial with name "Agnes Polvs (Polus)" in banderole (leaf a1r, painted over Godard's printer's mark), but the armorial has not been identified with a known family; Marmaduke Burton Dawnay, Langley (1777-1851), stamp (front endleaf 1 verso); Sotheby's London, Valuable Books sales, as the "Property of a Lady," 16 March 1907, lot 439 to Maitland for £81 (must have been returned) and relisted 31 May 1907, lot 244 to Reid for £56; Pierpont Morgan, purchased from J.
