From 1979 to 1981, Richard McGuire wheatpasted more than 200 Ixnae Nix works on the streets of Lower Manhattan. Between July 3 and September 17, 1979 McGuire regularly returned in daylight to register the ephemeral presence of Ixnae Nix in these contexts, together with the artist's friend, Martha Fishkin, whom McGuire commissioned to take the photographs. All eight works by Richard McGuire in this portfolio were taken at the onset of the artist's Isnae Nix series. All are printedhere for the first time.
