The Morgan is seeking an outgoing, people-oriented, highly energetic individual with an interest in art and music in general and the Morgan in particular to provide quality service as an usher at events open to the public.
The volunteer program works to match the Morgan's needs with the skills of qualified candidates. Volunteer opportunities are available in many departments. Unless otherwise indicated, volunteer positions occur during business hours: Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. To apply, please contact Jane Lattes, Director of Volunteer Services by phone at (212) 590-0327, or by e-mail.
Please note: The amount of time a volunteer will work per week varies with the particular position. Most positions request an average of one day per week. All volunteer positions require a minimum time commitment of one year.
The Department of Medieval and Renaissance Manuscripts seeks an assistant to maintain the extensive files that pertain to the more than 1,400 manuscripts owned by the Morgan.
Volunteers will join a team of people who help enhance the visitor experience by providing information about the Morgan, its collections and exhibitions, and by answering questions related to membership.
