Preparatory study for the interior of the cupola of the Basilica at Loreto which Roncalli worked on between 1610-1615. The painting was destroyed towards the end of the 19th century, but a group of 41 preparatory studies, including a modello for the whole decoration, is preserved in the Museo Diocesano at Loreto.
