Signed and dated at lower right center, in black chalk, "J v der meer / de jonge 1687".
Watermark: Foolscap with seven points, over "4" and three balls (similar to Heawood, no. 2044: 1687), three balls are distorted, with top ball separated from lower two, cap with two balls.
