Watermark: Indecipherable in upper right corner, due to lining.
This drawing is related to Robert's oval painting "Mange, mon petit", dated 1773 and exhibited in the Salon of that year under the title "Un enfant que sa bonne fait déjeuner", which is now in the collection of Arthur Veil-Picard. A variant treatment of the subject, in an oil sketch, is in the Musée des Beaux Arts, Valence.
