Notes: 

Ms. Bible leaves (cuttings); written and illuminated in eastern France, probably Lorraine, last decade of the 13th century.
These four miniatures, another four in the Pierpont Morgan Library (M.1071.1-2), and sixty-eight others were excised from one manuscript for insertion into an album of cuttings made for the Basel silk merchant Daniel Burckhardt-Wildt (1752-1819).
Two leaves (cuttings), painted on recto and verso.
Decoration: 4 half-page miniatures; French Gothic style.
M.1043.1 was fols. 25r and 25v in the original foliation.
M.1043.2 was fols. 49r and 49v in the original foliation
