[Carta ejecutoria de hidalguia for the Pujalte family].
Ms. letters patent of nobility written and illuminated in Madrid, Spain, Aug. 30, 1777.
Decoration: 2 full-page frontispieces: on fol. 1 an elaborate coat of arms; on fol. 2 a full page portrait of the individual who signs the letter of patent: Don Ramon Zazo y Ortega, Minister of War? (Rey de Armas Universal) under Charles III, king of Spain, 5 painted initials decorated with landscape and buildings; each text page is framed with a full border composed of floral motifs. Stamp of Charles V on the portrait page, two blind stamps on official paper, cut out and glued onto the pages bearing the signature of Ramon Zazo y Ortega and the notarizations. On last paper flyleaf, birth record of Antonio Pujarte Castillo, 14 January 1853, at 9pm, and Antonio Jose Pujarte Castillo, 1 November 1858.
Textiles: 2 orange silk protective sheets (curtain) laid in before the miniature pages.
Watermarks: a composite armorial watermark similar to Heawood 773-774, dated Cadiz 1766, or 1775 - Lisbon 1759.
